Ron Paul - looking for big numbers in Minneapolis

Ron Paul Visits New York, Borders overflows, sell out of Ron's Book

NEW YORK - The Revolution, A Manifesto, Ron Paul's latest book, was a hot commodity in lower Manhattan, on monday on an otherwise ugly dark and rainy day, but Borders at 100 Broadway was lit up light the 4th of July. The tortoise to John McCain's hare in the race for the Republican nomination, Libertarian, Constitutionalist and pro-life OB/GYN, Ron Paul brightened the day of hundreds of adoring supporters when he came to NY for the book signing.

Many people expressed surprise at the large numbers of supporters waiting in the long lines, which wrapped all around the perimeter. Borders employees seemed a little overwhelmed as the store ran out of copies of Paul's book. Borders had intended on a policy of only allowing Ron to sign copies of the book, but this soon failed to be sufficient as the copies of The Revolution, A Manifesto went like hotcakes. Even other stores within walking distance of Borders in lower Manhattan began running out of the book as scores of late comers rushed to find a copy for Dr. No to sign.
One couple arrived at 8:30 in the morning to ensure they could see the true Texas Republican. Another crowd lamented outside after coming all the way from New England to see Ron, just to have Borders personnel keep them back with a velvet rope as Ron finally signed the last few books. The lively crowd begged and began chanting for "Ron Paul! Ron Paul!" but the event was already hours late finishing. I caught up with Ron at the end and got the video. For my part, I'll say hey still had that twinkle in his eye. Let's hope it means he has something up his sleeve.
