Mainstream Media Blackout on Bilderberg Meeting
By Du Won Kang
Epoch Times Washington, D.C. Staff

CHANTILLY, VA—While over a hundred of the most influential people in the world are believed to gather at the Westfields Marriott hotel in Chantilly, Virginia, for several days (June 5–8) all the major media, except for the Epoch Times, are apparently silent about it. The event is an annual gathering of the Bilderberg Group.
Former Secretary of State Madelin Albright, Chairman of the Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke, Henry Kissinger, Vernon Jordan, and others were seen by witnesses and some of them were confirmed by others just outside of the hotel. Photos and videotapes were taken of them. (See the websites operated by Alex Jones at the bottom of this report that have posted some of the videos and photos.)
Alex Jones, syndicate radio talk show host and documentary film maker, says that he invited the Washington Post, the Fairfax Times, and asked 16 million listeners of the Coast to Coast AM radio show to call on the press to cover the event. But no major media showed.
"This is a criminal group. They're involved in very bad things," said Alex Jones, referring to the Bilderberg Group.

He said, "They violate the Logan Act. The federal law says that they can't come here and discuss policy with private interest in secret because we have the right to know. The only place they can discuss things in secret is in national security meetings, in the Congress, or in the Capitol, and that's amongst themselves ... This is illegal what they're doing … That's why we have moles inside reporting to us what's happened."

He continued, "This isn't about the federal government. This is about private interest meeting with members of the government, outside of the government, violating federal law, and the Logan Act. We are here because this is a criminal summit … These are globalists. They want one world government. They want to reduce liberty."
Alex Jones is also the producer of Endgames: Blueprint for Global Enslavement.
When asked about evidence for Bilderberg Group's influence over U.S. Presidential candidates, he said, "From our sources, they decide who they like best and they put their weight behind him. These people own the media. They own the big corporations. They've got trillions of dollars together. And when you get the nod from the big boys, you tend to get the support ... Do they have total control over society? No. Do they have total control over the candidates? No. But they're steering it. They're massively influencing it."
The Washington Post published an article on June 9 with headline, "Obama Adviser Faces Scrutiny Over Mortgage Deals." It reports that James A. Johnson, former Fannie Mae CEO, is leading Sen. Barack Obama's vice-presidential search process, and that Johnson is a member of the American Friends of Bilderberg.
Jim Tucker, co-founder of American Free Press (AFP), has been investigating the Bilderberg Group for over a quarter of a century. His research on the Bilderberg Group was highly praised by participants of the protests at Chantilly. He is the author of Jim Tucker's Bilderberg Diary (2005).

Jon Ronson, author of Them, describes the Bilderberg Group for CNN several years ago:
"Many members of the Bilderberg see themselves in much the same way as the conspiracy theorists see them: as shadowy figures out to influence world events. They see themselves as wise globalist centrists. Many of the anti-Bilderberg conspiricists see themselves as twigs in a tidal wave of globalization; they see themselves as nationalists. World government is what Bilderberg are into—the idea of a global community and a 'one world order.'
"The Bilderberg Group sees themselves as head hunters. They'll get an up and coming politician who they think may be President or Prime Minister one day and as globalist and industrialist leaders, they try to influence them. Bilderberg secrecy hulks back to Henry Kissenger who loves the idea of working in the shadows. The secrecy gives rise to conspiracy theories."

Free Press International offers some interesting resources on the Bilderberg Group.

There appears to be a wide range of opinions about the Bilderberg Group. This report represents only the tip of the iceberg.

Ron Paul - looking for big numbers in Minneapolis

Ron Paul Visits New York, Borders overflows, sell out of Ron's Book

NEW YORK - The Revolution, A Manifesto, Ron Paul's latest book, was a hot commodity in lower Manhattan, on monday on an otherwise ugly dark and rainy day, but Borders at 100 Broadway was lit up light the 4th of July. The tortoise to John McCain's hare in the race for the Republican nomination, Libertarian, Constitutionalist and pro-life OB/GYN, Ron Paul brightened the day of hundreds of adoring supporters when he came to NY for the book signing.

Many people expressed surprise at the large numbers of supporters waiting in the long lines, which wrapped all around the perimeter. Borders employees seemed a little overwhelmed as the store ran out of copies of Paul's book. Borders had intended on a policy of only allowing Ron to sign copies of the book, but this soon failed to be sufficient as the copies of The Revolution, A Manifesto went like hotcakes. Even other stores within walking distance of Borders in lower Manhattan began running out of the book as scores of late comers rushed to find a copy for Dr. No to sign.
One couple arrived at 8:30 in the morning to ensure they could see the true Texas Republican. Another crowd lamented outside after coming all the way from New England to see Ron, just to have Borders personnel keep them back with a velvet rope as Ron finally signed the last few books. The lively crowd begged and began chanting for "Ron Paul! Ron Paul!" but the event was already hours late finishing. I caught up with Ron at the end and got the video. For my part, I'll say hey still had that twinkle in his eye. Let's hope it means he has something up his sleeve.

Keep 'em in Congress...

Here's to our real presidential candidates. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich keep on going, fighting the real fight. Don't let them down, stay involved and keep them in in November. Reminding you a real patriot acts...

Rand Paul: Is the Revolution Over of Just Beginning? (3/10/08)
by Rand Paul, MD March 8, 2008
Reports that Ron Paul has quit the Presidential Race remind me of Mark Twain's famous "Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated." The Ron Paul Presidential campaign continues, albeit at a different pace.
What does that mean?
Ron Paul will continue to contest the remaining primaries. Ron Paul's name will be on all the remaining state ballots. Ron Paul volunteers are encouraged to become precinct captains, delegates to state and national conventions, and to try pass Constitutional proposals to each state's Republican platform.
For example, volunteers in each state should try to attach amendments such as the following: Republicans believe that war should only be fought after a proper Declaration of War by Congress. Another possible platform idea is that: Republican Congressmen are expected to vote against any federal budget, Republican or Democrat, that is not balanced.
Want to have some fun? Just imagine the fun when the debate begins on these ideas.
Is Ron Paul still campaigning for president? Yes. Ron Paul has tentative plans to campaign in Pennsylvania and Kentucky. Ron Paul will also likely appear in other states that have remaining primaries.
The press is reporting that Ron Paul has quit the race. This is not true. Ron Paul's video simply acknowledges that the campaign will continue but will also transform into additional activities such as education and supporting other candidates. In Kentucky we just held precinct conventions and Ron Paul Republicans won hundreds of precinct captains. In Kyle, Texas, Craig Young upset the establishment choice for Republican County Chairman.
The Ron Paul Revolution lives on! Victory comes in many forms. Help shape what the Ron Paul revolution becomes.See also my interview on WBKO's website

10,000 Republicans Switch Party to Vote in Hotly Contested Kucinich Congressional Democratic Primary Race
by Press Release (Posted by Kevin Gosztola) Page 1 of 1 page(s)
http://www.opednews.com
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Monday, March 10, 2008
CLEVELAND, OH - In a hotly contested five-way race to retain his Congressional seat in the Ohio Democratic primary last week, Rep. Dennis Kucinich faced serious challenges from Republican media, Republican contributors, Republican advisors, and, as it turns out, Republican voters who crossed over on election day.
According to figures released yesterday, about 10,000 registered Republicans in Kucinich's 10th Congressional District switched their party affiliation to vote in the Democratic primary. That cross-over strategy, led nationally by Rush Limbaugh, was heavily promoted by the local Clear Channel radio station that was bolstering a "Dump Dennis" campaign. The anti-Kucinich campaign was also assisted by The Plain Dealer newspaper, which editorially endorsed one of his challengers four separate times; by hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from Republican corporate interests; and by support from Republican advisors.
Despite the opposition, Kucinich won more than 50% of the vote in the five-way contest, outpacing the heavily financed and supported second-place finisher by more than 20,000 votes. Of the nearly 136,000 votes cast, about 10,000 were cast by Republicans.
Kucinich said the extent of the Republican cross-over vote was "shocking" and reflected "a concerted effort by Republican interests to interfere in the Democratic primary and knock me out of Congress." He added, "They obviously don't like my opposition to the war, trade, and tax policies of the Bush/Cheney Administration, or my calls for impeachment hearings. But to go to these lengths is absolutely unprecedented."
Kucinich, widely regarded as the most progressive member of the U.S. House, survived the effort by relying on strong and solid support from organized labor and from his traditional grassroots political base, plus additional financial support from a national constituency attracted to his Presidential campaign, which ended in January.
But, political observers and media analysts are predicting that Kucinich remains vulnerable to his Republican opponent in November - a former state representative and Republican Party chief who will draw the same kind of financial and institutional support that Kucinich's chief Democratic rival relied on in the primary election. Although the Congressional District has been reliably Democratic throughout Kucinich's six terms, the anti-Kucinich sentiment among Republican interests is likely to fuel a massive outpouring of support for his opponent in the general election campaign.
